WRITING NOTES IN RECORD BOOKS

With VRP ‘graduation’ celebrations coming up at the end of this term please keep in mind that Record Books go home with the little readers at the end of the year.  It is important that all comments are family and kid friendly.  Also, wherever possible please print instead of writing in cursive so the children can read the notes themselves and feel proud and encouraged!

REACH ALL READERS AVAILABLE!

There are copies of Reach All Readers available to be borrowed.  Google Books says this book is “The essential guide to teaching literacy skills to K-3 students…filled with practical tools for every kindergarten and early grade educator. This book addresses the science behind how students learn to read…”  Please contact Kristina to borrow this helpful resource on the science of reading. 

CANADA READS 2025

VRP volunteers love to read more than Elephant and Piggie and Fly Guy!  So, who read the winner of Canada Reads?  How about any of the others on the short or long list?  VRP wants to hear from you – please send your book reviews to be included in a future edition of NEWS!
