When you read the image below replace 'parents' with 'volunteers', it still rings true. Thank you for being part of VRP!

WELCOME GLEDHILL
VRP is very happy to welcome the all new volunteer team at Gledhill Jr. PS! Principal Peppi Kondilis-Minos had VRP at her school (Presteign Heights) before the pandemic and got in touch with us last year about starting at Gledhill. She is a huge supporter of VRP and did a terrific job recruiting from the school community for twice weekly reading sessions. With the addition of Gledhill, VRP is now active in THIRTY SCHOOLS across the city!
HOLIDAY CONVERSATION STARTERS
Now that the US election is old news it’s time to tell all your friends and family how amazing you are! At your next holiday gathering why not tell a little story about your most recent reading adventure (no student names please!) or about the amazing school where you volunteer? Kristina loves telling everyone about VRP. You should be proud of what you do too so tell friends, family & fellow revelers about VRP! Who knows, you might find a perfect new volunteer.
MORE SCHOOLS, MORE VOLUNTEERS
It is because of your good work that the list of schools asking for our help keeps growing. (yes, more requests for information on the program came through just this week!) In addition to needing volunteers for these new schools we also need volunteers to fill in for some vacations and other openings at Bridlewood, General Crerar, Highland Heights, Lynnwood Heights, Malvern, Ranchdale and Yorkwoods.
WINTER TERM SCHEDULE
Most schedules will be posted on the website today. Reading begins as of Monday, January 6. Reading teams at each school have been really good about keeping in touch with each other this term so please keep it up! Please get in touch with your SC or Kristina if you have any questions. Remember, once posted online any last-minute changes will not be updated on the schedule.
